The Mid-Atlantic Equity Center
The Mid-Atlantic Equity Center: Regional and national data indicate that students are not being adequately prepared to face the demands of the 21st Century. So, what strategies can policymakers, administrators, and educators use to increase achievement for all students? This conference will tackle this question by examining different ways to: increase effective instruction, student engagement, and assessment; reduce racial/sexual harassment, bullying, and violence; increase educational outcomes for turnaround and low performing schools; and link family, school, and community engagement to learning, especially in historically underperforming schools. National and local experts in the field will share research-based best practices and culturally responsive strategies to meet the complex educational needs of our diverse student population. Join us in boosting achievement for all students!
