50th Anniversary March on Washington | NAACP

50th Anniversary March on Washington | NAACP: On August 28th, 1963, hundreds of thousands of people from every corner of our country united and rallied with a shared message of civil liberty, civil rights, and economic freedom and opportunity for all. RSVP to take part in the 50th anniversary march in Washington D.C., or at home.

People will begin gathering for the rally at 6 a.m. The march begins at 8 a.m.

 The march will end at the MLK Monument, and will disperse into the soccer fields behind the Monument where the Global Freedom Festival is taking place.

 Leaders from civil rights, labor, immigrant rights and social justice organizations will speak after the march.
